Question: Q: MacBook Pro won't read Sandisk SDHC cards since Lion 10.7.1 update Hi all, just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I know there are dozens of posts about SD cards not working with MacBook pros, but mine seems to have started when I installed the latest Lion update. For some reason it seems that my macbook pro isn't reading the SDHC card in my multi (10-in-1) stratitec USB2CR8 reader. I can't seem to find info on whether or not it is the reader and it can't read SDHC or the 4GB card size, or if the issue is with my computer.

Your MacBook Pro includes a FaceTime HD camera you can use to conduct video conferences with remote clients and business colleagues, but if you want to view still images or video footage that you've captured on a digital camera or camcorder, you'll need to connect your camera or video equipment to your computer. USB provides a convenient way to hook up external cameras to your MacBook Pro. The 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro models provide two USB ports; the 17-inch model includes three.
1.Check the camera user guide to determine whether you need to use the menu system to set a USB mode for compatibility with your operating system. Make any necessary settings adjustments and turn off the camera before you plug it in to your MacBook Pro.

2.Plug a USB cable into your camera. Plug the other end into one of the USB ports on your MacBook Pro. Note that USB cables for cameras feature different connectors on each end, only one of which fits the port on the camera.
3.Boot your MacBook Pro. When your operating system finishes loading, turn on your camera. Use the software supplied with your camera or recommended by your camera manufacturer to view images or footage on your monitor.
Tips

- To copy images or footage from your camera to your MacBook Pro, remove your camera's memory card and plug it into the SDXC card slot on a 13-inch or 15-inch MacBook Pro. Alternatively, you can plug your memory card into a USB card reader and plug the reader into your computer.
- Avoid tension on the USB cable while it connects your camera to your computer.
- Check your camera's battery-charge level before you attach it to display a long sequence of images to a client, colleagues or vendor.

Warning
- Keep your camera's lens covered while you use it with your MacBook Pro, minimizing dust accumulation and damage.
